I am Canadian and will be in the US for 3 months. I would like to have use of a cell phone for calls, texting, checking e mails and for some of my travel apps. I have a Blackberry curve that is now off plan after 3 years of usage. I know there are prepaid minutes one can purchase at places like Wallmart but do not know how they would be used on this phone. As an alternative, do major carriers offer 3 month plans for the US?

Hi Allan - You'll have to get the curve unlocked if you haven't already. You should be able to use it without a problem. Major carriers don't offer 3 month plans, no, so your best bet would be a pre-paid plan. You can get them through Verizon and AT&T, or you could go with something like Straight Talk at Walmart.
