Palm has finally gave in and settled to sell Palm for $1.2 billion to HP. HP, who has been quite throughout the whole process, not a word about adding any new phones, has decided to buy out Palm. There was not even word of HP possibly being a potential buyer for Palm as there were with Lenovo, Dell or Huawei.
HP is now in the running to provide competition for Nokia, HTC, Apple, RIM and Samsung.

I knew Palm was not doing well. I wonder if more jobs will open up in Arkansas now where HP is.

You know the Palm Pre actually wasn't that bad of a phone. I had to do a research project on it a few weeks ago and was very impressed. And coming from a die hard iPhone fan I think that's saying a lot. I hope they don't crash and burn.
