Blocking Unwanted Messages

You can declutter your Messages screen by moving the spam messages in the block box. Additionally, if you block a contact, that contact’s messages will be moved in the block box as well.

To block a contact, open the Messages app -> press and hold the contact or the phone number you’d like to block -> then tap Block contact.
To block multiple contacts, open the Messages app -> tap the More options icon -> tap Block contacts -> select the contacts you’d like to block and tap Move.

After blocking a contact, the messages sent by that particular contact will no longer appear in the Messages screen nor will you receive notifications or calls from it.

If you want to read the messages in the block box, open the Messages app -> tap the Options icon and select Block.

Note: If you want to remove a message or contact from the block box, just press and hold the contact and select Unblock.

Moving Messages to the Secure Box

Want to keep your messages private? You can move them to the secure box and set up a password in order to have access to them. However, the messages stored on the SIM card can’t be moved to the secure box.

1. Open the Messages app -> tap a contact or phone number to see all the messages you had with that contact.
2. Then tap the More Options icon and select Move to secure box.
3. Select the messages you’d like to move and tap Move.
4. Or, if you want to move all the messages from a contact, open the Messages app -> then press and hold the desired contact -> tap Move to secure box.

To read the messages in the secure box, open the Messages app -> then tap Options -> tap Secure. The first time you use the secure box, you’ll be required to set a password. Then, every time you want to read the messages from the secure box, you’ll be required to enter that password.
If you want to remove messages or contacts from the secure box, press and hold the desired contact or phone number -> select Move to general box.

Saving a Text Message in the Tasks App
