Turning Bluetooth On or Off
  1. Go to the Home screen and tap the Apps icon.
  2. Then tap Settings -> turn the Bluetooth switch to On or Off, as desired.
  3. The Bluetooth has now been turned on or off

Pair with a Bluetooth Device
  1. From the Home screen, tap the Apps icon.
  2. Then tap Settings -> select Bluetooth -> turn the Bluetooth slider to On.
  3. If you’re initiating the pairing from the other Bluetooth device, on your HTC One, make sure its name is set for Visible and then follow the Bluetooth device’s user manual to complete the pairing.
  4. If you want to initiate the pairing from your HTC One, make sure the other Bluetooth device is set for discoverable (or pairing) mode.
  5. You smartphone will then automatically search for Bluetooth devices in its proximity. When the search is complete, tap the Bluetooth device you’d like to pair with. Or, in case the device was not found, tap Scan for devices.
  6. When the Bluetooth pairing request appears on the screen of your device check to see that both passkeys are the same and then tap Pair.
    Note: Usually, the default passkey is either 0000 or 1234. In case your Bluetooth device has another passkey set up, check its user manual for more information.
  7. Then take a look at both devices to see if there’s any Bluetooth prompt and enter the PIN -> then tap OK.
  8. Your HTC One has now been paired with another Bluetooth device.

Unpairing from a Bluetooth Device

  1. From the Home screen, tap the Apps icon.
  2. Then tap Settings -> select Bluetooth -> turn the Bluetooth slider to On.
  3. Tap Bluetooth to open the Bluetooth screen.
  4. Go to the Paired devices screen and tap the Settings icon located next to the device you want to unpair -> then tap Unpair.

Receiving Files via Bluetooth

You can receive lots of different types of files using Bluetooth, such as music tracks, photos, calendar events, documents (i.e. PDFs) or contact info.
  1. From the Home screen, open the Notifications panel and tap the Settings icon.
  2. Turn the Bluetooth switch to On in case it was turned off.
  3. Then tap Bluetooth to open the Bluettooth screen.
  4. To make your HTC One visible, tap its Bluetooth name located near the top of the screen.
  5. When asked to accept a pairing request on your smartphone from the sending device, you may also be required to enter a passkey or to confirm an auto-generated passkey on both devices -> enter the correct passkeys on both your HTC One and the other Bluetooth device.
  6. You should then receive a Bluetooth authorization request -> tap Pair.
  7. Once you receive a file transfer request notification, open the Notifications panel and tap the incoming file -> then tap Accept.
  8. When the file is transferred to your smartphone, you’ll receive a notification -> open the Notifications panel again and tap that particular notification to open it.
