  2. From the home screen, press "Menu" and tap "Settings"
  3. Go to "My accounts" and tap "Google"

  5. Clear and mark the "Sync Contacts" check box, or tap "Sync Now"
  6. On the HTC Desire EYE, register the same Google account used on the Note II
  7. On the EYE, tap "Apps" while viewing the home screen
  8. Tap "Settings" > "Accounts & Sync"
  9. Select the Google account if necessary, and allow the account to sync contacts with your phone

Using the "Import / Export" Function:

NOTE: Using the "People" and "Contacts" application pre-loaded on the two handsets, the contacts stored on the Note II can be exported in the form of a VCF file. The file can then be transferred to the HTC Desire EYE via email or by using a computer. To do so:

  1. Open the "Contacts" application on the Samsung Galaxy Note II
  2. Go to the "Contacts" tab and press "Menu"
  3. Tap "Contacts to display" > "All contacts"
  4. Next up, tap "Menu" > "Import / Export"
  5. Tap "Export to SD card" and make sure you recall the file's name for future use
  6. Tap "OK" and launch the email application on the Note II
  7. Compose a new email and attach the VCF file to it
  8. Send the email to your Gmail address
  9. Switch to the HTC Desire EYE and open the email application
  10. Open the email containing the attachment and download it to your phone
  11. Launch the "People" app and press "Menu"
  12. Tap "Import / Export contacts" > "Import from SD card" or "From phone storage", depending on where the file has been downloaded
  13. Select the desired account and load the VCF file to your phonebook

NOTE: After the VCF file has been created on the Samsung Galaxy Note II, the file can be transferred to the HTC Desire EYE by connecting both smartphones to a computer via USB and manually copy > pasting it on the Desire's storage

Using "Send Anywhere":

NOTE: If you wish to share the contacts stored on your Note II using a third party app, you can use Send Anywhere. This is an application that uses a P2P connection to transfer various types of files (including contacts) from one phone to another

  1. Go to the Google Play Store and install "Send Anywhere" on both Android smartphones
  2. After the app has been installed, launch it on both handsets
  3. On the Note II, tap "Send" > "Contacts"
  4. Select the contacts you wish to share and tap "Send"
  5. Lastly, select the desired method of transfer. By tapping "Generate QR Code" on the Galaxy Note II you can create a QR code which can be scanned with the HTC Desire EYE's camera to begin the transfer. Alternatively you can tap "Receive" on the Desire EYE, and manually type the randomly generated transfer code from the Samsung smartphone
