Transfer Audio Files from a Windows Computer:
- Connect the HTC 10 to your computer via USB
- At the prompt, enable Media device (MTP) or File Transfer (MTP), otherwise enable the option from the notification area
- Open the File Explorer on the computer
- Locate the desired audio files on your PC and copy them
- Transfer the files on the phone storage, preferably in the Ringtones / Notifications folders
- After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB port
Change the General Ringtone:
- Tap Apps on the home screen
- Launch Settings
- Tap Personalize and tap Ringtone
- Select the desired ringtone and tap Apply
Set a Custom Ringtone to a Specific Contact:
NOTE: Custom ringtones cannot be assigned to contacts located on the SIM card or the phone storage.
- Open the apps drawer
- Launch People
- Select the desired contact
- Tap Ringtone and select the desired ringtone
- Tap Apply
Change the Notification Sound:
- Tap Apps on the home screen
- Open Settings
- Tap Sound & notifications
- Tap Notification sound
- Select the audio file you want to use for notification alerts
- Tap Apply
