Sync iPhone Contacts Using iTunes:

NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer with an active Internet connection, you can sync the contacts on your iPhone with your Google account. Then you can sync the account data, including contacts, with the HTC Desire 628.

  1. Launch iTunes on the computer
  2. Connect the iPhone to your PC using the Lightning cable
  3. Click the iPhone in iTunes and access the “Info” tab
  4. Turn on “Sync Contacts With” and select “Google Contacts”
  5. Sign in with your Google account, or click “Configure” and select an existing account if applicable
  6. Click “Apply” to begin the sync
  7. Once the sync is complete, switch to the HTC Desire 628 and sign in with the same Google account used in iTunes
  8. Allow the account to sync contacts with your Android phone

Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud Backup:

NOTE: In case the contacts on your iPhone have already been backed up on your iCloud account, you can access the account on a computer with Internet access and export the contacts in vCard format.

  1. Launch the Internet browser on the computer
  2. Visit https://www.icloud.com/
  3. Sign in with your iCloud account
  4. Access “Contacts” and select the contacts you want to share
  5. Click “Settings” > “Export vCard”
  6. After the vCard has been downloaded on the PC, follow one of these steps:
    • Import the vCard via “Google Contacts”, or:
    • Connect the HTC phone to your computer via USB, copy the vCard to the phone storage, and use “People” to import its contents to your phonebook

Using “My Contacts Backup”:

NOTE: For the methods above you need a computer with Internet access, but you can also transfer your iPhone contacts using third party apps instead. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can back up and transfer contacts via mail.

  1. Visit the App Store and install “My Contacts Backup” on the iPhone
  2. Launch the app and tap “Backup”
  3. After the vCard file has been created, tap “Email”
  4. Write a new email and make sure the vCard is attached
  5. Send the email to your own address
  6. Switch to the HTC device, open the email, and download the vCard
  7. Import the vCard to your phonebook using “People”

Via “Send Anywhere”:

NOTE: Send Anywhere is another third party app (for Android and iOS) you can use to transfer contacts and other file types, cross platform, through a p-2-p connection without requiring a computer.

  1. Visit the App Store and install “Send Anywhere” on the iPhone
  2. Install the same app on the HTC Desire 628 via the Play Store
  3. Open the app on both devices
  4. Tap “Send” on the iPhone
  5. Tap “Contacts” and select the contacts to share
  6. Tap “Send” and choose a transfer method. You can select “Generate QR Code” on the iPhone and scan the code with the HTC’s camera to begin the transfer, or tap “Receive” on the HTC and enter the transfer code generated on the iPhone
