Restore App Data:

  1. Make sure the phone is connected to an active Wi-Fi network
  2. Open the apps drawer and launch “Settings”
  3. Tap “Backup and reset” under “Personal”
  4. Tap “Restore from HTC Backup”
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to select a backup account and restore app data

Restore Contacts from a Google Account:

  1. Access “Settings”
  2. Under “Personal”, tap “Accounts & Sync”
  3. Sign in with the Google account you used for the backup
  4. Access the account’s sync settings and make sure “Contacts” is checked
  5. Tap “Menu” > “Sync All”

Restore Media Files from a Windows Computer:

  1. Connect the HTC Desire 10 Pro to your computer via USB
  2. Turn On “Media Device (MTP)” / “File Transfer (MTP)” at the prompt or from the “Notification” area
  3. Launch the File Explorer on the PC and locate the media file backups
  4. Copy the backup files and transfer them on the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” folder or the directory they originate from
  5. After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB port

Restore Media Files form a Mac Computer:

  1. Establish a connection between your Mac and HTC device via USB
  2. Enable “Media device (MTP)” / “File Transfer (MTP)” at the prompt or from “Notification”
  3. On the Mac, launch the File Finder and locate the media file backups
  4. Copy the files and transfer them on the phone storage
  5. After the restore is complete, eject the phone storage by dragging and dropping the virtual drive into the “Trash can” and safely disconnect the device from the USB port
