Sync iPhone Contact with a Google Account via iTunes:
NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer connected to the Internet, you can sync the contacts on your iPhone with your Google account. Then you can sync the account data, including contacts, with the Android device.
- Launch iTunes on the computer
- Establish a USB connection between the iPhone and computer
- Click the iPhone in iTunes and go to the Info section
- Turn on Sync Contacts With and select Google Contacts from the drop-down menu
- Sign in with your Google account or click Configure and select an existing account if applicable
- Click Apply and wait for the sync to complete
- Once done, switch to the HTC Bolt and register the same Google account used in iTunes
- Allow the account to sync contacts with your HTC device
Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud Backup:
NOTE: If the contacts on your iPhone are already backed up on your iCloud account, you can access the account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in vCard format for Android use.
- Open the Internet browser on the computer and visit https://www.icloud.com/
- Sign in with your iCloud account and access Contacts
- Select the contacts you want to share
- Click Settings > Export vCard
- After the vCard has been downloaded, follow one of these steps:
- Open the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to Google Contacts, or:
- Connect the HTC device to your computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage, and use People to import it
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: While the two methods above require a computer connected to the Internet, alternatively you can transfer the contacts on your iPhone using third party applications. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can be used to back up and share iPhone contacts via email.
- Go to the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
- Open the app and tap Backup
- After the vCard backup file has been created, tap Email
- Make sure the vCard is attached to the email and send it to your own address
- On the HTC Bolt, open the email and download the attached file
- Import the vCard backup file using People
Via Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Send Anywhere is another third party applications for Android and iOS, which can be used for transferring contacts and other file types without requiring a computer, cross-platform, through a peer-2-peer connection.
- Visit the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
- Install the same app on the HTC Bolt via the Google Play Store
- Open the app on both smartphones
- On the iPhone, tap Send > Contacts
- Select the contacts you wish to share and choose a transfer method, such as Receive on the HTC phone or Generate QR Code on the iPhone
- Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
