My VX6000 phone wont turn on. The battery is fine, its not dead or anything. Yes, i am pressing the right button, and i dont think it has anything to do with the battery. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Well he said it wasn't the battery... I'm assuming you tested the battery? What about memory and such? Sometimes you can run out of memory and it won't power up... there are several things it could potentially be, actually...

Can you give us some more info here? Such as how long have you had the phone? Is it under warranty? What were you doing prior to the phone that could've caused this, if anything? Loading ringtones or adding wallpaper? Have you had the housing opened at any time? Has it ever gotten wet or was it near substantial heat or moisture? Is it getting any power...ie can you see the white screen, or is there no indication of power? Have you taken it in to a service center? They will usually just replace the phone...

Well, i have got it on somtimes, but you have to push this power button is hard, and I mean HARD. I opened the phone and tried to see if the button was off track, but it was fine. then I tired pressing the thing behind the plastic button, but It woodent go on.
The phone did go into the washing machine before, but it worked fine after. Thanks for your help guys, I think youll be able to find out whats wrong. thanks

Ah well that certainly helps narrow things down... the power button is hard to push... are all the buttons surounding the button difficult to push as well? You didn't happen to undo the keyboard any did you? It definitely doesn't seem to be the battery... you most likely had to replace it after it got wet... I'm wondering if this wire mesh gold piece underneath the keyboard didn't get dislodged... that would explain the difficulty in pressing the power button if it were dislodged lightly and the power issue... I believe all you need is a screwdriver to see underneath the board... I have my old 6000 here... I'll take a look at it and see... could also be some hard water residue too... but well it could cause an issue with the buttons being hard to depress as well...

I'm just going by T&E here... not much to go on though... but if there's a possibilty you knowingly had the housing undone... then it's a definite possibility that that piece beneath the keyboard has come undone and that would explain your inconsistent power and difficulty pressing the power button... definitely leaning towards a physical problem here... from what you've divulged thus far... if that's indeed possible... then all you need is a screwdriver to peer underneath and see... it's located in the top center directly beneath the keypad... if you've had the housing opened after it went through the washer trying to dry it or fix it... then it's more likely to look there first... less likely, but still possible it became dislodged during the rinse cycle... or something else connected with the washer incident... even though it seemed fine shortly thereafter.
