I am not sure if you can disable and not sure why you would want to? Have you tried the manual? I am interested in hearing what you find out.

Those are both great examples. I just took a look at my friends 8100 and scrolled quickly through the menu and didn't see anything. I will keep looking. I love checking out all the cool functions on the 8100.

I just checked my 8000 and guess what, no front screen preview as the 8100 has.....strike 26 of bad things this phone does. I also checked the new 815; same as my old 8000, no preview on the front.
They (Verizon from I can tell) are messing this perfectly good phone up so bad, it amazes me that people are buying it.
What a shame.....a so anticipated phone (for us LG user's) has been so degraded so Verizon can make a buck, that myself and most of my friends are looking else where for new phones.

LOL! I need to send a few of those retro 8000's to Saudi Arabia! The camera phones there must make a loud click when you take a picture and there are a number of restrictions as to where you can even take a phone. Sadly for you though that phone is only going to get worse with the next update from what I've been privy to.
I'm certain there is indeed an elementary method of disabling that feature but, I'm not certain I should... it'd be so much more ammusing to hear your story when you snapped a pic of somebody that didn't want to be photographed!

You could always put a piece of duct tape or a small post it note over the screen, that way no one could see that you are taking a picture of them. What do you think of the phone? Are you happy with the 8100?
