Now i keep getting messages from yahoo that it failed to send for some reason

How big is the file?
Also, you may have to contact Verizon and make sure that that option is activated on your phone.
Just tell them that you are trying to recieve email's and for some reason, the phone isn't accepting them. They will turn that option on if it isn't. It doesn't cost anything for them to turn it on if it isn't already.

it can recieve m4p files but it cant get mp3 so i dont know if that would make a difference. Other than that the file is like 2.4 mb so it should send

It's 2.4 megs in size?????
Holy cow, you aren't going to be able to send that via email to your phone. It's going to fail every time.
Try sending a clip of the song.....something below 200 kb, and that should work.

Can you tell me how I can cut the file size down

I use a program called Audacity. It's free, and does a really good job. It's not that hard to learn (as a matter of fact there is a sticky thread on it someplace here). Or, go to our Ring Factory section, and there's a program there that we offer that does it all for you.

Ok i finally got it working and sent it and recieved it and went to save sound and pressed save. Now it is telling me that the file size has to be under 30kb can you tell me how to make it that. I have it at 30 seconds

Well, you are going to have to cut the bitrate and sample rate down. Most songs are setup at 44100mh sample rate at 32 bits. Drop the clip down to 22000 at 16 bit, make sure while your at it that you change the song from Stereo to Mono, and you should be set and even be able to put more of the song on a clip.

Ok, try this drop it down to 16 bit, but leave it at 44100. If the size is under 100k, send it to your phone and it will work perfect.
