Unfortunately I think you have to have a cable. This is one of the advantages of the 8100. It has a mini sd card and files can be transfered with a sd card and sd card reader.

First off, why would you want to put a full length song on the phone? It can hold quite a few, but the phone was not made for playing mp3's. The phone was made for V-Cast.
If you wanted a phone for mp3's, you should have waiting for the E815, or the 8100, or if you were in a hurry for one, the V710. (all of which have memory cards and can hold a vast number of mp3's)
To answer your question....no, there is no way to get full length mp3's on the phone without a data cable.

If you want the MP3 I suggest going with 8100, especially after all of the recent updates.

yea yea yea
i didn't get the phone for the mp3s.. i got it because it was the biggest phone with the options i wanted.. vcast is amazing... i was tired of my tiny samsung... too hard to open when your hands are as big as mine.. that and the size of the screens and the photo quality.. had the 8100 followed the same design cues i would have gotten it.. but since the 8000 has the ability to play full length ones out of the sweet speakers.. why the hell wouldn't i want to..? i was just curious..

How do you do that?

Just change the extention on the ringtone from .mp3 to .mid and email it to your phone.
Example: Lets say your phone number was - 123-456-7890 then your phones email address would be - [email protected]
Once the email gets to your phone, just go in and save the sound, delete the email and that's all there is to it. You can now assign that ringtone to whatever you want.
