switching phones and service have a ?

ok well my parents are switching to verizon which does not use sim cards. so i will loose all my numbers if i dont write them down. i have an lg l1400 and there is a little thing on the side that i dont know what it is. do i have to sit here and right down every single number or is there a way i can put them onto my computer or something.

That little thing on the side of your LG L1400 cell phone is Infrared. There is a way to send your phonebook to your computer via infrared I believe, if you have that accessory on your computer too.

i would ask verizon if they could try and transfer the stuff from your old phone to your new phone. It just might work...
