My contract is almost up for Verizon and i need a new phone. i want picture phone. I've been thinking about the LG VX6100 but have heard bad reviews, mainly from from people in larger cities so it doesn't count for me. (Live small town) is the 6100 a good phone and is it worth $130? Or do you have other ideas?

i am satisfied with my LG PM-225 but if you live in a small town/rural area you should be most concerned about reception. different brands get different reception and i have heard from several people that they thought sanyo gets the best reception on sprint's network. i would advise you to post a thread under whatever carrier you plan to go with and ask people which brands or models get the best reception.

I haven't heard of any bad reviews on the LG VX8100. It is a Megapixel camera phone with bluetooth, removable memory, and V-Cast capable. I think it would be around $150 with a Renewal.

I had used Motorola phones for years and was skeptical when I switched.

I find the LG to have excellent reception (Verizon) long battery life and easily customized features.

I have the VX7000 and the photos/videos are fine. Low light is a problem. Shop a deal. I got THREE of these for $150.

Now, I've got internet access set up (free!--except for minutes, of course) on all of them and all of them will automatically upload the photos/videos to my own websites where they're instantly displayed on a thumbnailed page. I'm sure the 6100 will also do this. The more recent models produce better pictures in most cases.

Don't be afraid to just ask a salesperson "What's the absolute best deal in the house?" Verizon regularly has deals where you can save significant cash. If I were you, I would keep a sharp eye out for their ads and visit their website often in the weeks ahead.

Oh wow, I wish I'd have been wait for great deal, when it first came out, I decide bought this phone almost 300.00 with 1/yr contract few years ago.. I like this LG 6100 very much so does for all LG flip phone with camera phone. I never had any problem with Mobile Web w/ digital features on or out VZW network and still always works for me.

Its true its low light not same as real flash..and 6100 only does do camera, but no video for this model..
