I just got this phone about a week ago and when I'm talking I hear this buzz from the earpiece kind of like what you hear when you have speakers turned up really loud but with nothing coming out of them. I've turned the earpiece volume down and it's still there, so maybe it's just the phone's processor or something. Anyone else have this problem? I also get random little beeps in the ear piece too, even though I have all of the minute alerts and service change alerts turned off and I'm not receiving another call. I think the 2 problems may be related. Thanks for any help.

Yeah, I was gonna go talk to a guy here. Only one thing, I bought the phone at home (I'm in college) at a Circuit City. Could I just go to the local Verizon store or do you think I'd have to go to the local Circuit City if I would end up needing an exchange? Hopefully I wouldn't have to go all the way home just to exchange phones.

Circuit City is a 3rd party retailer. They can DOA the phone, or send it for repair, whichever they choose to do for you based on policy.
If you go to a Verizon corporate store, you will need your Circuit City receipt, and they will only send it for repair, they won't replace it because you didn't buy it there.
The sooner you return it, the better your chances of a straight replacement.

You can take it to the Verizon location at any Circuit City just as easily as you can take it to a corporate store. In truth, aside from the repair facilities located at the corporate stores, the Circuit City locations are exactly the same as corporate stores. They are staffed by Verizon Wireless personnel and utilize all the tools provided by Verizon Wireless. They are, in fact, not a third party retailer.
The way it works is, Circuit City actually leases floor space to Verizon Wireless for a kiosk within their stores. It is same lease agreement that Verizon Wireless has with many shopping malls. In this way, Circuit City does not have to provide personnel to sell the phones, and does not have to keep the inventory, but can still offer that service to their customers. It seems to be a pretty sweet deal for both parties. The only problem is that sometimes (as is the case in my area) the corporate store is virtually right next door to the Circuit City location. However, it does not seem to have affected the business of either location (again, at least in my area).LG VX9900 (enV)
