LG KE850 / Prada phone problem

Hi guys,
just wondering whether anyone knows the solution to this:
The new KE850 has been set-up weirdly, so that the backlight, and following that the display shuts itself down after ten, and twenty seconds, respectively (The display is made brighter by the backlight, but can work without).
That means that while I am writing a text message, or using the phone normally, the display goes off automatically after twenty seconds. This is severely annoying when writing a text message or just mincing about on one menu only. You can reactivate it the backlight pressing one of the hard/ 'real' buttons.
Has anyone had the same problem and found a solution to it?

humm.. that's weird. you would think that it would respond to the touch buttons.
