Hey. I just got my Lg Vx8800 Venus. I'm with Telus Canada.
I tried to put some custom ringtones into my phone, I've uploaded the cropped mp3's into BitPim Media-Ringers Folder. They appear in my phone, and I can play the sounds, but when I try to set them as a ringtone, I get a message saying Non-DRM protected file.
is there a way to set my mp3 ringers as a ringer?
Thanks.
Vincent

I converted the mp3 files to wav and midi files and was able to save them as ringtones.

Re: Vx 8800 "Non-DRM protected"
hey guys, i cant get phone data or send phone data in bitpim, all i can do is that the program is able to detect the phone, but it wont let me do anything else, u choose phone setting model vx8800 right ? and ur not in mass storage mode right ? u just plug in the data cable right ?
i was also bored.....
