How-To: Enable Wi-Fi Connectivity on Your LG Viper 4G LTE.

1. While on the Home screen, press the "Menu" sensitive key on your device.
2. Select "Settings".
3. Tap "Wireless & networks".
4. Press "Wi-Fi settings".
5. Tap "Wi-Fi" to enable Wi-Fi connectivity. Once tapped, the device will start scanning for Wi-Fi networks.
6. Tap the Wi-Fi network you wish to connect to. Type-in the network's password if prompted to do so.


How-To: Add a Wi-Fi Network Manually.

If a network is not shown on-screen after the scanning is complete, or if you wish to add a network when you are out of its range you can do so manually.

1. Enable Wi-Fi connectivity.
2. On the "Wi-Fi" settings screen press "Add Wi-Fi network".
3. Type in the name of the network (Network SSID), and select the type of network security from the "Security" drop-down menu.
4. Type-in the network's password.
5. Press "Save".


How-To: Forget a Wi-Fi Network.

When getting in the range of a network you've previously connected to, your LG Viper 4G LTE will automatically connect to that network. To prevent this from happening or to remove a Wi-Fi network that is no longer in use:

1. Enable Wi-Fi connectivity.
2. From the "Wi-Fi settings" screen tap and hold the name of the Wi-Fi network you wish to remove.
3. Tap "Forget network".


How-To: Enable USB Tethering and Wi-Fi Mobile Hotspot on Your LG Viper 4G LTE.

Enabling USB Tethering:

1. From the Home screen press the "Menu" sensitive key on your device.
2. Press "Settings".
3. Tap "Wireless & networks".
4. Select "Tethering & portable hotspot".
5. Connect your LG Viper 4G LTE to your computer via the USB cable.
6. Checkmark "USB tethering" to enable the option.

NOTE*: While using the USB tethering feature the contents from your phone's microSD card will not be accessible on your computer.

Enabling Wi-Fi Hotspot:

To enable Wi-Fi Mobile Hotspot follow the first 4 steps above then continue as follows:

5. Tap "Portable Wi-Fi hotspot" to activate the feature.
6. To change the network name, secure the network and access additional Wi-Fi hotspot options tap "Portable Wi-Fi hotspot settings" and select "Configure Wi-Fi hotspot".

From the "Configure Wi-Fi hotspot" screen you can:

- Rename the Wi-Fi network by tapping the "Network SSID" field.
- To secure the Wi-Fi network tap "Security", select "WPAP2 PSK" from the menu then type-in the preferred network password in the appropriate field.
- Tap the "Max users" option to define the maximum number of users allowed to connect to your Wi-Fi network at the same time.
