How-to: Re: Call and Messaging Functions for Your LG Optimus GG

To Make a Phone Call

1. From the Home screen, tap Phone.
2. Enter the number that you want to dial and tap the Call button.
3. If you want to select a number from your contact list, tap the Contacts tab.
4. Scroll to and touch the contact you want to dial.
5. Tap the appropriate number to dial.
6. Tap End when you want to end the call.

To mute a call – tap the Mute icon located at the bottom of the screen.
To turn the speakerphone ON or OFF – tap the Speaker icon located at the bottom left corner of the screen.

To Initiate a Conference Call

1. While you’re already on a call, tap Add call located at the left corner of the menu.
2. Enter the phone number that you want to dial and tap the Call button.
3. You can also select a contact from the contacts list. To do that, touch the Contacts tab.
4. Scroll to and touch the contact you want to add to the conference call.
5. Select the desired phone number.
6. After you connect the second call, tap Merge call located at the left corner of the menu.
7. When you’re finished, tap End call to end the conference call.

To Send or Receive Text Messages

1. From the Home screen, tap Messaging.
2. Or if you don’t have the shortcut on the Home screen anymore, tap Apps -> Messaging.
3. Touch the New message icon located at the top right corner of the screen.
4. In the To field, enter the 10-digits number or select the desired contact name from the drop down menu.
5. Enter the message that you want to send in the message field.
6. Tap Send when you’re done.
7. To exit the messaging app, tap the Home key.
8. To open a message that you received, tap Messaging while on the Home screen.
9. Touch the message you want to read.

To Send or Receive a Multimedia Message (MMS)

1. From the Home screen, touch Messaging or tap Apps -> tap Messaging.
2. Touch the New message icon located at the top right corner or he screen.
3. In the To field, enter the number where you want to send the message or select the desired contact from the drop down menu.
4. In the message field, enter the message you want to send. When you’re done, tap Attach.
5. Tap Picture.
6. Select the desired image location.
7. Choose the image you want to send and then tap OK.
8. Tap Send when done.
9. The MMS should now be sent. To exit the Messaging app, tap the Home key.
