Back Up
Backing Up Apps:
- While on the home screen, tap "Apps"
- Tap "Backup"
- If this is the first time you access this application, review the introduction
- Review the "End User License Agreement" and then tap "Agree"
- Tap "Manual backup"
- Select the location of the backup then tap "Next"
- Tap "New backup". Tip: if you wish to replace an existing backup file, tap "Overwrite"
- Type in a name for the backup file, then tap "Next"
- Mark the check boxes associated with "LG Apps" and "Downloaded apps"
- Tap "Backup" and press "OK" to confirm
Backing Up Contacts:
- While viewing a home screen, tap "Apps"
- Select "Backup"
- Review the introduction, assuming that this is the first time using the application
- Read the "End User License Agreement" and tap "Agree"
- Tap "Manual backup"
- Select the desired location for the backup and then tap "Next"
- Press "New backup". Alternatively, you can tap "Overwrite" if you wish to replace an existing backup file
- Type in a name for the backup file and then press "Next"
- Mark the "Personal data" check box, then tap "Backup" and press "OK" to confirm
Backing Up Media & Pictures:
- Connect your device to your computer using the USB cable that came with your smartphone
- Once prompted, tap "Media sync (MTP)" on your handset
- On your computer, click "Open device to view files using Windows Explorer" in the "AutoPlay" window
- Navigate to the desired media files that are stored on your handset
- Drag and drop the media files from your device to a folder on your PC
- Once the copying process is complete, click the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon located in the system tray
- Click "Safely Remove Mass Storage Device" and tap "OK"
- You can now disconnect your smartphone from your computer
Restore
Restoring Apps and /or Contacts:
- While viewing a home screen, press "Apps"
- Select "Backup" and tap "Restore"
- Choose the desired backup file from the list
- Tap "Restore"
- Review the "warning" pop-up then tap "Yes" to confirm. Your device will now restart
Restoring Media Files:
- Connect your handset to your PC using the USB cable
- When prompted, tap "Media sync (MTP)" on your smartphone
- On your PC, once the "AutoPlay" window appears, click on "Open device to view files using Windows Explorer"
- Navigate to the files that have been backed up on your computer
- Drag and drop the backed up files on your computer, to the desired location on your phone's storage
- Once the copying process is complete, click on the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon located in the system tray
- Click "Safely Remove Mass Storage Device" and click "OK"
- You can now disconnect your handset from your PC
