lg spectrum 2 change apn settings

When I go to the apn setting then hit menu and then choose new apn, it lets me enter all of my new info then I hit save but then when I go back to the main apn menu my new settings are not there nor are there any others including a default one. It just simply says access point names at the top of the screen and nothing else. Does anybody have any idea what I can do? Thanks

It sounds like the APN settings are 'locked' the only way around is probably to root the phone. If you've never done this before I wouldn't recommend doing it as it can ruin the phone.

Ok here is what I discovered. Lastnight I placed the phones original sim I . And the factory apn settings apeared. It also let me make a new apn and save it. But it only lets me save it if I don't change the MCC Setting. Once I change that and save then go back to the apn menu my new apn is not there. But if I change everything but the MCC and save then go to the apn menu my apn is there.

Interesting. It seems every phone has a slightly different way of locking things down. So are you able to get internet with the new sim now?

No I think it has something to do with not being able to save after I change that setting. I wonder if its not that I'm changing that number but maybe what I'm changing it to. I'm going to play with it some more right now lol.

Is there a way to 'select' the APN profile that is used? I know that is different one some phones too.
