Transferring Audio Files from a Windows Computer:

  1. Use the proprietary USB cable to connect the L9 II to your computer
  2. On the smartphone, select "Media sync (MTP)"
  3. On the computer, an AutoPlay window will appear. Click "Open device to view files using Windows Explorer"
  4. Open a new Windows Explorer window and navigate to where the audio files are stored on your PC
  5. Copy the desired audio files, and paste them on the phone's storage. NOTE: you can paste notification sounds directly in the "Notification" folder, ringtones in "Ringtones" etc.
  6. After the transfer process is complete, click the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon located in the system tray
  7. Click "Safely Remove Mass Storage Device" > "OK"
  8. It's now safe to disconnect your smartphone

Setting a Custom Ringtone for All Calls:

  1. After transferring the audio files in the "Ringtones" folder, press "Menu" while on the home screen
  2. Tap "System settings" > "Sound"
  3. Under "Ringtone & Notifications", tap "Phone ringtone"
  4. Choose the file that you wish to use as a ringtone. NOTE: items that you've transferred in the "Ringtones" folder will appear under "My Ringtones"

Setting a Custom Ringtone for One Contact:

  1. After transferring the audio files, tap "Contacts" from the home screen
  2. Select the desired contact
  3. Tap "Edit" and scroll to the "Ringtone" drop-down menu
  4. Tap the "Ringtone" menu and select the desired audio file
  5. Press "OK" and tap "Save"

Changing the Notification Sound:

  1. Press the "Menu" button while viewing the home screen
  2. Tap "System settings" > "Sound"
  3. Scroll to "System" and tap "Notification sound"
  4. Choose the file that you wish to use as a notification sound. NOTE: audio files that you've transferred in the "Notification" folder will appear under "My Notifications"
  5. If the box is grayed out, you need to change the "Sound Profile" to "Sound" from "Silent"
