WARNING! Master resetting your smartphone will restore its factory values. This will result in the deletion of personal files stored on the phone's internal memory, including custom ringtones, images, downloaded content, apps as well as contacts. Note that, items stored on the SIM and SD cards will not be affected.

Master Resetting From the Settings Menu:

  1. If necessary, back up your files stored on the internal memory
  2. While on the home screen, press the "Menu" button
  3. Tap "System settings"
  4. Under "Personal", tap "Backup & reset"
  5. Tap "Factory data reset" > "Reset phone" > "Erase everything"
  6. In the warning pop-up, review the information and tap "OK"

Master Resetting Using Hardware Buttons:

NOTE: use this method of factory resetting, in case you are not able to perform a reset through the settings menu. Once again, keep in mind that you will lose all data stored on the internal memory once you apply the factory reset.

  1. If necessary or possible, back up your data
  2. Turn off the smartphone
  3. Press and hold "Power", "Home" and "Volume down" at the same time
  4. Keep pressing the buttons for about 8 seconds, until the "Factory Hard Reset" screen appears
  5. Press the "Power" button to confirm, and your device will reset and reboot in normal mode with factory values
