Using iTunes to Transfer Contacts:

Among its numerous other features, iTunes is capable of syncing data / contacts between your iPhone and a Google account, allowing you to easily transfer the contacts stored on your Apple smartphone to an Android device. For this method you are required to have a computer with Internet access and iTunes installed. (NOTE: you can download the iTunes client from the official Apple website).

  1. Open iTunes on your computer
  2. Use the proprietary USB cable to connect the iPhone to the computer
  3. Click the iPhone once it appears in iTunes, in order to open the handset's summary page
  4. Go to the "Info" tab and mark the "Sync Contacts With" check box
  5. From the drop-down menu, select "Google Contacts"
  6. Register your Google account in iTunes, or alternatively, click "Configure" if you've already added a Google account, and select it from the list
  7. Click "Apply" to commence the syncing process
  8. Once done, switch over to the LG L80 and allow the same Google account to sync contacts with your Android device. NOTE: if you need to add the account first, go to "Settings" > "Accounts"

Using iCloud to Transfer Contacts:

The iCloud backup service offers the possibility to export your backed up iPhone contacts for use on an Android smartphone. Assuming that you have used the iCloud service before, the contacts stored on your iPhone should already be saved on your iCloud account. Using a computer with Internet access, you can sign in to your iCloud account and export your contacts. To do so:

  1. Open the Internet browser on your computer and visit https://www.icloud.com/
  2. Sign in with your iCloud account
  3. Click "Contacts" and from the list, select the contacts that you wish to export
  4. Click the "Settings" icon depicting a cog wheel, located in the bottom-left corner
  5. Select "Export vCard". Your computer will now download a VCF file containing the contacts from your iPhone
  6. Once you have the file, import it to "Google Contacts". Alternatively, connect the LG L80 to your computer using the USB cable, and copy the file to the "sdcard" directory. Then, launch the contacts application and use the "Import" function to move the vCard file's contents to your phonebook

Using "My Contacts Backup" to Transfer Contacts:

My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that enables you to transfer contacts from an iPhone to an Android smartphone without having to access a computer. The app is capable of backing up all of your contacts, and send them to a different smartphone via email. To do so:

  1. Launch the App Store and install "My Contacts Backup" on your iPhone
  2. Open the app and tap "Backup"
  3. Once the contacts have been backed up, tap "Email" to attach the vCard file to a new email
  4. Enter your own Gmail address as the email recipient
  5. Send the email, and open it on the LG L80
  6. Download the attached vCard file, and import its contents using the contacts application

Sharing Contacts using "Send Anywhere":

Finally, you can also transfer contacts cross-platform using the iOS & Android application known as "Send Anywhere". This is an app that can transfer contacts using a P2P connection, so there's no requirement for a computer. To perform this method of transfer:

  1. Visit the Google Play Store and install "Send Anywhere" on the LG L80
  2. Go to the App Store and install the application on your iPhone as well
  3. Open the app on both smartphones
  4. Switch to the iPhone and tap "Send" > "Contacts"
  5. Mark the contacts that you wish to send, and tap "Send"
  6. Lastly, choose the desired transfer method. By tapping "Generate QR Code" you can create a QR code on your iPhone's screen, which can be scanned with the LG L80's camera. Alternatively, you can also tap "Receive" on the LG L80, and enter the randomly generated transfer code from the iPhone to commence the transfer
