Back Up App Data:

  1. Tap "Apps" on the home screen
  2. Access "Settings"
  3. Swipe to "Personal" and tap "Backup & reset"
  4. Mark the check box next to "Back up my data"

Back Up Contacts:

  1. From the home screen, tap "Apps"
  2. Go to "Settings"
  3. Swipe to "Personal" and tap "Backup & reset"
  4. Tap "LG Backup service"
  5. Tap "Backup" and select to back up your contacts on the "Internal storage", "SD card" or "Cloud"
  6. Tap "Next" > "Personal data" (deselect the other options)
  7. Open the "Personal data" directory and ensure "Contacts" is selected
  8. Tap "Next" > "Start" and wait for the process to complete
  9. When the "Back up completed" message appears, tap "Done"

Back Up Data on the SD Card:

  1. Tap "Apps" from the home screen
  2. Go to "Settings" and swipe to "Personal"
  3. Tap "Backup & reset" > "LG Backup service"
  4. Tap "Backup" and select "SD card"
  5. Tap "Next" and select the items you want to back up
  6. Press "Next" > "Start"
  7. When "Backup completed" appears, tap "Done"

Back Up Media Files Using Your Smartphone:

  1. Access the phone's "Settings" menu
  2. Under "Personal" tap "Backup & reset"
  3. Tap "LG Backup service" > "Backup"
  4. Select to back up the data on the "Internal storage", "SD card" or "Cloud"
  5. Tap "Next"
  6. Select "Media data" and deselect the other options
  7. Tap "Next" > "Start"
  8. When "Back up Completed" pops-up, tap "Done"

Back Up Media Files on a Windows Computer:

  1. Connect the LG Magna to your computer via USB
  2. When prompted, tap "Media sync (MTP)". Otherwise enable the feature from the notification area
  3. From the AutoPlay window on the computer, select to browse the files and folders on the smartphone
  4. Locate and copy the media files you want to back up
  5. Navigate to the desired location on the computer and transfer / back up your files
  6. Once the transfer is done, click the "Mass storage device" icon in the system tray and safely disconnect your smartphone from the computer
