Clear an Apps Cache or Data:
NOTE: If one of your third party apps isnt working as intended, it crashes, freezes etc. then you might be able to fix this behavior by clearing the applications cache. If that fails, you can also try clearing the apps data.
WARNING! Clearing an apps data will result in the deletion of all personal information stored within the app. This includes profiles, saved games, credit card information, high scores and so on.
- Tap Apps while viewing the home screen
- Access Settings
- Under General tap Apps
- Select the desired application
- Tap Clear cache
- If clearing the cache hasnt solved the issue(s), tap Clear data > OK
Clear the Phones Cache Partition:
NOTE: If your phone isnt working as intended, crashes, freezes etc. you can try wiping the cache partition. Unlike a master reset, clearing the cache can solve various issues without deleting personal data stored on the internal memory.
- From the home screen tap Apps
- Access Settings and go to the General tab
- Tap Storage and wait for the phone to calculate the data
- Tap Cached data > OK and wait for the phone to clear the cache. NOTE: Depending on how much data is cached, this process can take more or less time to complete
- After the cache partition has been wiped, no cached data should be displayed in the menu
NOTE: If clearing the cache did not help, you can try master resetting the phone. Visit this thread for a full guide on how you can factory reset the LG Magna.
Entering Safe Mode to Remove a Third Party App:

- When the logo pops-up, press and hold the Volume Down button
- When the device finishes rebooting to the home screen, release the Volume Down button. At this point you should see a Safe Mode label in the lower-left corner of the screen
- Tap Apps on the home screen
- Go to Settings
- Swipe to Applications, tap Application Manager and swipe to Downloaded
- Select the desired application and tap Uninstall
- Tap OK to confirm
- After removing the app, you can exit safe mode by simply pressing and holding the Power button, and tapping Power off and restart
