Enable Battery Saving Mode:

  1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
  2. Go to “Settings” > “General”
  3. Swipe to “Phone Management”
  4. Tap “Battery & power saving”
  5. Tap the “Battery saver” switch and set it to “ON”
  6. To further customize how Battery saver works, clear / tick the available boxes, and select a battery percentage for the Battery saver to enable automatically

Lower the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

  1. Tap “Apps” while viewing the home screen
  2. Go to “Settings”
  3. Access the “Display” tab
  4. Tap “Brightness” under “Other Screen Settings”
  5. Drag the brightness slider towards the left side
  6. Tap “Screen timeout” to adjust timeout duration and select a lower value such as “seconds”

Disable Wi-Fi, Hotspot, GPS, and Bluetooth:

  1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
  2. Go to “Settings”
  3. Access the “Networks” tab
  4. Under “Connectivity” tap “Tethering”
  5. Tap “Mobile Hotspot” and set the feature’s switch to “OFF”
  6. Press “Back” to return to the “Settings” screen
  7. Tap the switches associated with “Wi-Fi” and “Bluetooth” to disable them
  8. Tap the “General” tab and under “Personal”, tap “Location”
  9. Select “Battery saving (Networks only)” under “Mode”

Disable Background Data:

  1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
  2. Access “Settings” and go to the “Networks” tab
  3. Tap “Mobile data”
  4. Press “Menu” and mark the “Restrict background data” check box
  5. Tap “OK”

Change the Sync Settings for Apps:

NOTE: By setting your apps to sync less data you can prolong your phone’s battery life on the long run

  1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
  2. Go to “Settings”
  3. Access the “General” tab
  4. Tap “Accounts & sync” under “Personal”
  5. Clear the check box associated with “Auto-sync data”
  6. Under “Accounts”, select an app for more sync settings

Switch from 4G to 2G:

  1. Go to the phones “Settings” menu
  2. Tap the “Networks” tab
  3. Tap “More” under “Connectivity”
  4. Tap “Mobile networks” > “Network mode”
  5. Select the “GSM only” check box

Minimize the Use of Third Party Apps:

NOTE: Some third party apps can affect your phone’s battery performance even if they are not open (assuming they regularly run processes in the background). You can disable these apps, or remove them.

  1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
  2. Access “Settings” and go to the “General” tab
  3. Tap “Apps” under “Phone Management”
  4. Access the “Downloaded” tab
  5. Tap and hold the desired app
  6. Tap “Force stop” to disable it, or tap “Uninstall” to complete remove it from the phone

Keep Your Phone’s Software Updated:

NOTE: Software updates can include improvements to battery life, so you should keep your phone updated at all times.

  1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
  2. Go to “Settings” > “General”
  3. Under “Phone Management”, tap “About phone”
  4. Tap “Update Center” > “System updates”
  5. Tap “Check for update”
  6. If a new software is available, follow the on-screen prompts to download and apply it
