How-to: LG Zero: Back Up Personal Data

Back Up App Data:

1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
2. Access “Settings”
3. Tap “Menu” and switch to “List view” if necessary
4. Scroll to “Device” and tap “Backup & reset”
5. Turn on “Back up my data”

Back Up Contacts:

1. Open “Settings”
2. If necessary, tap “Menu” and switch to “List view”
3. Tap “Backup & reset” under “Device”
4. Tap “LG Backup” > “Backup & restore”
5. Tap “Back up data”
6. Select “LG Cloud” and register your LG account
7. Select “Personal data” and deselect the other options
8. Tap to expand “Personal data” and make sure “Contacts” is selected
9. Tap “Start” > “Done”

Back Up Data on the SD Card:

1. Launch “Settings”
2. Tap “Menu” and switch to “List view” if necessary
3. Tap “Backup & reset” under “Device”
4. Tap “LG Backup” > “Backup & restore” > “Back up data”
5. Tap “SD Card” and select the files you want to back up
6. Tap “Start” > “Done”

Back Up Media Files On Your Phone:

1. Launch “Settings”
2. Switch to “List view” if necessary
3. Tap “Backup & reset” > “LG Backup”
4. Tap “Backup & restore”
5. Select “Media data” and clear the other options
6. Tap “Media data” to expand the directory, and select the desired media files
7. Tap “Start” > “Done”

Back Up Media Files On your Computer:

1. Establish a USB connection between the LG Zero and your PC
2. Swipe the “Status” bar down and enable “Media sync (MTP)”
3. Open an Explorer window on the PC
4. Locate the media files, or the desired “.sbf” backup file on your smartphone
5. Copy the desired files and transfer them on your computer storage
6. After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage from the system tray
