Turn On Device Lock:

  1. Swipe the “Notification” bar down on the home screen
  2. Go to “Settings”
  3. Scroll to, and tap “Display” > “Lock screen”
  4. Tap “Select lock screen” and select one of the available lock screen options
  5. Follow the on-screen prompts to confirm and set up the desired lock screen

Change Device Lock Password:

  1. Go to the phone’s “Settings” menu
  2. Tap “Display”
  3. Tap “Lock screen” > “Select screen lock”
  4. Choose “Password” and enter the new password
  5. Tap “Continue”
  6. Enter the new password again for confirmation
  7. Tap “OK”

Change Device Lock PIN:

  1. Access “Settings”
  2. Tap “Display” > “Lock screen”
  3. Tap “Select screen lock”
  4. Choose “PIN” and enter the new PIN
  5. Tap “Continue”
  6. Enter the new PIN a second time
  7. Tap “OK” to confirm

Turn Off The Lock Screen:

  1. From the phone’s “Settings” menu, tap “Display”
  2. Tap “Lock screen”
  3. Tap “Select screen lock”
  4. Choose “None”
  5. If necessary, follow the on-screen prompts and enter the current PIN / password to proceed and disable the lock screen

Enable / Disable Emergency Alerts:

  1. On the home screen, tap “Messaging”
  2. Tap “Menu”
  3. Go to “Settings”
  4. Scroll to “Advanced settings”
  5. Tap “More” > “Emergency alerts”
  6. Turn “Imminent extreme alerts”, “Imminent severe alerts” and / or “AMBER alerts” On or Off

NOTE: Presidential alerts are enabled by default and cannot be disabled
