Enable Battery Saving Mode:

  1. Swipe the “Notification” bar down from the home screen
  2. Tap “Settings” in the top-right corner
  3. Go to the “General” tab
  4. Scroll to “Phone management” and tap “Battery & power saving”
  5. Tap the “Power saver” switch and set it to “ON”
  6. Enable or disable the available battery saver options, and select a battery level at which the mode should turn on automatically

Adjust Video Quality in Games:

  1. Go to “Settings”
  2. Access the “General” tab and scroll to “Phone Management”
  3. Tap “Battery & Power saving”
  4. Set the “Game optimizer” slider to “OFF”

Disable Smart Settings Unused At Home:

  1. On the home screen, swipe the “Notification” bar down
  2. Open “Settings”
  3. Access the “General” tab and scroll to “Smart functions”
  4. Tap “Smart settings” and slide the toggle to “OFF”

Lower Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Access the “Display” tab
  3. Under “Basic Settings”, tap “Brightness”
  4. Drag the “Brightness” slider towards the left to decrease luminosity
  5. Tap “Screen timeout” and select a lower value such as “15 seconds”

Disable Connectivity When Unused:

NOTE: By turning off Wi-Fi, GPS, Hotspot, and Bluetooth when unused, you can improve battery life in the long run.

  1. Swipe the “Status” bar down on the home screen
  2. Open “Settings”
  3. Go to the “Networks” tab
  4. Scroll to “Connectivity” and tap “Tethering”
  5. Tap “Mobile Hotspot” and set the toggle “OFF”
  6. Go back to “Settings” and tap the “Wi-Fi” and “Bluetooth” switches ”OFF”
  7. From the “General” tab, scroll to “Personal” and tap “Location” (GSP)
  8. Tap “Mode” and select “Battery saving (networks only)”

Use 2G Connectivity:

NOTE: If your phone runs low on battery and you don’t have access to a wall socket or battery bank, you can conserve battery life until the next recharge by temporarily switching to a 2G network. To restrict the phone to 2G connectivity:

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Go to the “Networks” tab
  3. Scroll to “Connectivity” and tap “More”
  4. Tap “Mobile networks” > “Network mode”
  5. Select “GSM only”

Disable Background Data:

  1. On the home screen, swipe the “Status” bar down
  2. Tap “Settings” and access the “Networks” tab
  3. Tap “Mobile data” > “Menu”
  4. Turn on “Restrict background data”
  5. Tap “OK”

Minimize Third Party App Usage:

NOTE: Some third party apps perform regular background tasks and processes, and thus, by disabling or uninstalling unused third party apps, you might be able to improve battery life in the long run.

  1. Swipe the “Status” bar down on the home screen
  2. Tap “Settings”
  3. Go to the “General” tab
  4. Scroll to “Phone Management”
  5. Tap “Apps” and access the “Downloaded” tab
  6. Tap and hold the desired app
  7. To disable the app, tap “Force stop” / “Disable”
  8. To remove the app from the phone, tap “Uninstall”

Change Sync Settings:

NOTE: By changing the sync settings of your apps / accounts to synchronize less data / less often, you can improve battery life in the long run.

  1. Open “Settings” and access the “General” tab
  2. Scroll to “Personal”
  3. Tap “Accounts & sync”
  4. Turn off “Auto-sync data”
  5. Select an app under “Accounts” and change the available sync settings (repeat for different apps / accounts etc.)
