Clear App Cache / Data:
NOTE: Assuming that one of your applications doesnt work properly, it crashes, freezes, or takes up too much storage inexplicable, you might be able to fix these problems by clearing the apps cache and data.
WARNING! Clearing an applications data will delete all personal data stored within the app, including profiles, saved games, settings, high scores, login and credit card information etc. To avoid losing data, clear only the applications cache.
- Swipe the Notification bar down on the home screen
- Tap Settings
- Go to General and tap Apps
- Swipe to the All tab and select the desired application
- Tap Clear cache
- If necessary, tap Clear data > Yes (read the WARNING above)
Wipe the Cache Partition:
NOTE: In case your phone crashes, freezes, or runs out of storage inexplicably, you can try fixing these issues by wiping the phones cache partition. This can have similar effects as a factory reset, without losing any of your personal data in the process.
- On the home screen, swipe the Notification bar down
- Open Settings
- Tap General > Storage
- Wait for the phone to finish calculating data
- To clear the cache, tap Cached data > Yes
- Wait for the process to complete. Once done, you should no longer see data under Cached data (or a only a small amount will remain)

Reboot to Safe Mode and Remove an App:
NOTE: If you have installed a third party app that causes issues on your phone and prevents you from removing it, you should be able to uninstall the app from within Safe Mode. In this mode, all third party applications are disabled by default. To reboot your phone in Safe Mode:
- First wake up the screen if necessary
- While viewing the home screen, press and hold Power
- From the power options menu, tap and hold Power off
- At the Restart in Safe mode prompt, tap OK
- Wait for the phone to reboot and once done, a Safe mode watermark should be shown in the lower-left corner of the screen
- To remove an application while in Safe Mode, first open Settings
- Then, tap General
- Go to Apps and swipe to Downloaded
- Select the desired app and tap Uninstall > OK
- Once done, you can exit safe mode by pressing and holding Power, and selecting Power off and restart from the power options pop-up
