Back Up Application Data:

  1. On the home screen, swipe the “Status” bar down
  2. Tap the “Settings” icon in the upper right corner
  3. Access “General” and tap “Backup & reset”
  4. Enable “Back up my data”

Back Up Contacts on an LG Account:

  1. Swipe the “Status” bar down on the home screen
  2. Go to “Settings”
  3. Tap “General” > “Backup & reset”
  4. Tap “LG Backup” > “Backup & restore”
  5. Tap “Back up data” and when prompted, select “LG Cloud” and sign in with your “LG Account”
  6. Turn on “Personal data” and deselect the other options
  7. Expand the “Personal data” directory and select “Contacts”
  8. Tap “Start”, and press “Done” at the “Back up completed” pop-up

Back Up Contacts on the SD Card:

  1. Go to “Settings”
  2. Tap “General” > “Backup & reset”
  3. Tap “LG Backup” > “Backup & restore”
  4. Tap “Back up data” and enable “SD Card”
  5. Select the items you want to back up and tap “Start”
  6. At the “Backup completed” prompt, tap “Done”

Back Up Media Files Using Your Phone:

  1. On the home screen, swipe the “Status” bar down
  2. Launch “Settings” and access “General”
  3. Tap “Backup & reset” > “LG Backup”
  4. Tap “Backup & restore”
  5. Enable “Media data” and disable all the other non-media options
  6. Tap “Start” to begin the sync
  7. At the “Backup completed” prompt, tap “Done”

Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:

  1. Connect the LG Stylo 2 to your computer via USB
  2. At the prompt, enable “Media device (MTP)” / “File Transfer (MTP)”, otherwise enable the option from the “Notification” area
  3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
  4. Locate the media files on your phone and copy them
  5. Transfer the files in the desired backup location on your computer
  6. After the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB
