Back Up App Data:
- Open Settings
- Access the General tab
- Tap Backup & reset
- Enable Back up my data
Back Up Contacts:
- Open Settings
- Access the General tab
- Tap Backup & reset
- Tap LG Backup > Backup & restore
- Tap Back up data and make sure LG Cloud is enabled
- If prompted, log in with your LG Account
- Select Personal data and deselect all the other options
- Expand the Personal data option and make sure Contacts is enabled
- Tap Start to begin the backup
- Once the backup is complete, tap Done
Back Up Contacts on the SD Card:
- Open Settings
- From the General tab, tap Backup & reset
- Tap LG Backup > Backup & restore
- Tap Back up data and enable SD Card
- Select the items you want to back up and tap Start
- After the process is complete, tap Done
Back Up Media Files on the Phone:
- Launch Settings
- From the General tab, tap Backup & reset
- Tap LG Backup
- Tap Backup & restore
- Select Media data and deselect the non-media options
- Expand the Media data folder and select the media files you want to back up
- Tap Start and wait for the process to complete
- Tap Done
Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:
- Connect the LG V20 to your computer via USB
- Enable Media sync (MTP) / File Transfer (MTP) at the prompt or from the Notification area
- Launch the File Explorer on the computer
- Use the Explorer to locate the desired media files, or .sbf backup files on the phone storage
- Copy the desired files and transfer them in your backup location on the computer
- After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB port
