Sync iPhone Contacts with Google Using iTunes:
NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer with Internet access, you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. You can then sync the account data, including contacts, with the LG X Max.
- Launch iTunes on the computer
- Connect the iPhone to your computer via USB (using the Lightning cable)
- Once it connects, click the iPhone in iTunes and access Info
- Enable Sync Contacts With and select Google Contacts from the drop-down menu
- Sign in with your Google account or click Configure and select an existing account
- Click Apply to start the sync
- Once the sync is done, switch to the LG device and register the same Google account used in iTunes
- Allow the account to sync contacts with your Android phone
Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud Backup:
NOTE: If the contacts on your iPhone are backed up on iCloud, you can access your iCloud account on a computer with an active Internet connection and export the contacts in vCard format for Android use.
- Launch the Internet browser on the computer and visit https://www.icloud.com/
- Sign in with your iCloud account
- Access Contacts
- Select the contacts you want to share and click Settings
- Click Export vCard and wait for the vCard to be downloaded on the PC
- Once the vCard is downloaded, follow one of these two steps:
- Launch the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to Google Contacts or:
- Connect the LG X Max to your computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage, and use Contacts to import it
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: While the two methods above require access to a computer, alternatively you can share iPhone contact using third party apps. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can be used to back up and share iPhone contacts via email.
- Go to the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
- Open the app and tap Backup
- After the backup file is done, tap Email
- Ensure the vCard is attached to the email and send it to your own address
- Switch to the LG X Max, open the email, and download the vCard
- Launch Contacts and import the vCard to your phonebook
Using Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Another third party app you can use for transferring contacts is Send Anywhere. The app works on iOS and Android, and uses a peer-to-peer connection to transfer contacts and other file types without a computer.
- Install Send Anywhere on the iPhone from the App Store
- Install the same app on the LG device via the Google Play Store
- Open the app on both handsets
- On the iPhone, tap Send > Contacts
- Select the desired contacts and tap Send again
- Lastly, choose a transfer method and follow the on-screen steps to complete the transfer
