Enable Battery Saving Mode:
- Go to Settings
- Access the General tab if necessary
- Scroll to Phone Management and tap Battery & Power saving
- Turn on Power saving mode and enable or disable the available Power saving options
- Lastly, select a battery percentage at which the mode enables automatically
Decrease Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:
- Open Settings
- Go to the Display tab if necessary
- Scroll to Basic Settings and tap Brightness
- Drag the brightness slider towards the left to decrease luminosity
- Tap Screen timeout and select a lower value
Disable Smart Settings Unused at Home:
- Launch Settings
- From the General tab, scroll to Smart functions
- Tap Smart settings and set the option to OFF
Adjust Video Quality in Games:
- Go to Settings
- Access the General tab if necessary
- Scroll to Phone Management and tap Battery & Power saving
- Disable Game optimizer
Disable Unused Connectivity Features:
NOTE: By disabling Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, and Hotspot while they are not in use, you can conserve battery life in the long run.
- Swipe the Status bar down on the home screen
- Open Settings and access the Networks tab
- Scroll to Connectivity and tap Tethering
- Turn Mobile data OFF and return to Settings
- Set the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth switches to OFF
- Under Personal, tap Location (GPS)
- Then, tap Mode and select Battery saving (networks only)
Temporarily Switch to 2G Connectivity:
NOTE: If your phone runs low on battery and you dont have quick access to a wall socket or battery bank, you can temporarily switch to 2G networks until the next recharge to conserve battery life.
- Open Settings
- If needed, access the Networks tab
- Under Connectivity, tap More > Mobile networks
- Tap Network mode and turn on GSM Only
Minimize Third Party App Usage:
NOTE: Certain third party apps perform regular background processes even when they are not actively in use, and thus they can affect battery life. By removing or disabling unused third party apps, you might improve battery life in the long run.
- Open Settings
- Access the General tab
- Scroll to Phone Management and tap Apps
- Go to Downloaded
- Tap and hold the desired app
- To disable the app, tap Disable or Force stop
- To remove the app from the phone, tap Uninstall
Disable Background Data:
- Open Settings and access the Networks tab
- Tap Mobile data
- Tap Menu and enable Restrict background data
- Tap OK to confirm
Change Sync Settings:
NOTE: By changing the sync settings of your apps or accounts to reduce sync, you might improve battery life in the long run.
- Go to Settings
- If necessary, access the General tab
- Scroll to Personal and tap Accounts & Sync
- Disable Auto-sync data
- Select an account / app for additional sync options
