How-to: LG K3 (2017): Manage Contacts, Caller Groups, and the Call Log

Create a Contact:

1. Open “Contacts”
2. Tap “+” and select to store the contact on the “SIM”, as a “Phone contact” or to sync it with “Google”
3. Enter the contact’s name, phone number, and other details in the appropriate fields
4. Tap “Save” to confirm

Import Contacts:

1. Launch “Contacts”
2. Tap “Menu” > “Manage contacts”
3. Select “Import”
4. Under “From”, select to import contacts from “Internal storage”, “SIM” or “SD card”
5. Under “To”, select “Phone” or “Google” and press “OK”
6. Select the contacts you want to import or tap “Select all”
7. Tap “Import” > “Yes”

Export Contacts:

1. Open “Contacts”
2. Tap “Menu” > “Manage contacts”
3. Tap “Back up”
4. Under “To”, choose “SIM”, “Internal storage” or “SD card”
5. Tap “OK” to confirm
6. Select the contacts you want to export, or tap “Select all”
7. Tap “Export” > “Yes” to confirm

Add Contacts to Speed Dial:

1. Open “Phone” and go to the “Dial” tab
2. Tap “Menu” > “Speed dial”
3. Select the dial pad number you want to use
4. Tap the contact you want to associate with the dial pad number

Delete Contacts:

1. Open “Contacts”
2. Tap and hold the desired contact
3. Tap “Delete contact” > “Yes” to confirm

View and Clear the Call Log:

1. Open “Phone” and go to “Call logs”
2. To view more details on a call log entry, tap it
3. To clear the call log, go to “Call Logs” and tap “Menu”
4. Next, tap “Clear all” > “Yes” to confirm

Create a New Caller Group:

1. Open “Contacts”
2. Access “Groups”
3. Tap “Menu” > “New group”
4. Select an account to sync contacts with
5. Enter the group’s name. Optionally, you can select a group ringtone
6. If you wish to add contacts to the new group, tap “Add” and select the desired contacts
7. When ready, tap “Save”

Assign Contacts to an Existing Caller Group:

1. Launch “Contacts”
2. Go to “Groups”
3. Tap the group you want to add contacts to
4. Tap “Menu” > “Edit Group”
5. Tap “Add members” and select the desired contacts
6. Tap “Add” to confirm
