Turn Battery Saving Mode ON:
- Open Settings
- Go to the General tab
- Scroll to Phone Management
- Tap Battery & Power saving and enable the mode
- Enable or disable the desired Power Saving features, and optionally, you can select a battery percentage at which Power Saving Mode enables automatically
Decrease Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:
- Launch Settings
- Access the Display tab
- Scroll to Basic settings
- Tap Brightness and drag the slider towards the left
- Next, tap Screen timeout and select a lower timeout value
Disable Unused Smart Settings at Home:
- Launch Settings
- From the General tab, scroll to Smart functions
- Tap Smart settings
- Set the switch OFF
Adjust Video Quality in Games:
- Open Settings
- Access the General tab
- Scroll to Phone Management
- Tap Battery & Power saving
- Turn Game optimizer OFF
Disable Unused Connectivity Features:
NOTE: By disabling the phones connectivity options such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and Wi-Fi Hotspot, you can improve battery life in the long run.
- On the home screen, swipe the Status bar down
- Access Settings
- Go to the Networks tab and scroll to Connectivity
- Tap Tethering > Mobile Hotspot
- Set the Hotspot toggle OFF
- Go back to Settings and tap the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth switches OFF
- From the General tab, scroll to Personal
- Tap Location (GPS) > Mode
- Select Battery saving (networks only)
Switch to 2G Networks Temporarily:
NOTE: In case your phone runs low on battery and you dont have quick access to a wall socket or battery bank, you can conserve battery life until the next recharge by temporarily switching to 2G networks.
- Go to Settings
- Access the Networks tab
- Scroll to Connectivity and tap More
- Tap Mobile networks > Network mode
- Enable GSM only
Disable Background Data:
- Go to Settings
- Access Networks
- Tap Mobile data > Menu
- Enable Restrict background data and tap OK to confirm
Change Settings to Reduce Sync:
NOTE: By changing your accounts / apps sync settings to reduce sync, you can improve battery life in the long run.
- Go to Settings
- Access the General tab
- Scroll to Personal and tap Accounts & sync
- Turn Off Auto-sync data
- Scroll to Accounts and select an account / app to change its sync settings
Minimize Third Party App Usage:
NOTE: Some third party apps perform regular background processes, and thus they can affect battery life when not in use. By disabling or removing unused third party apps, you can improve battery life in the long run.
- Open Settings
- Access the General tab
- Scroll to Phone Management
- Go to Apps > Downloaded
- Tap and hold the desired app
- To disable the application, tap Force Stop / Disable to confirm
- To remove an app, tap Uninstall
