Turn Battery Saving Mode ON:

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Go to the “General” tab
  3. Scroll to “Phone Management”
  4. Tap “Battery & Power saving” and enable the mode
  5. Enable or disable the desired Power Saving features, and optionally, you can select a battery percentage at which Power Saving Mode enables automatically

Decrease Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

  1. Launch “Settings”
  2. Access the “Display” tab
  3. Scroll to “Basic settings”
  4. Tap “Brightness” and drag the slider towards the left
  5. Next, tap “Screen timeout” and select a lower timeout value

Disable Unused Smart Settings at Home:

  1. Launch “Settings”
  2. From the “General” tab, scroll to “Smart functions”
  3. Tap “Smart settings”
  4. Set the switch “OFF”

Adjust Video Quality in Games:

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Access the “General” tab
  3. Scroll to “Phone Management”
  4. Tap “Battery & Power saving”
  5. Turn “Game optimizer” OFF

Disable Unused Connectivity Features:

NOTE: By disabling the phone’s connectivity options such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and Wi-Fi Hotspot, you can improve battery life in the long run.

  1. On the home screen, swipe the “Status” bar down
  2. Access “Settings”
  3. Go to the “Networks” tab and scroll to “Connectivity”
  4. Tap “Tethering” > “Mobile Hotspot”
  5. Set the Hotspot toggle “OFF”
  6. Go back to “Settings” and tap the “Wi-Fi” and “Bluetooth” switches OFF
  7. From the “General” tab, scroll to “Personal”
  8. Tap “Location” (GPS) > “Mode”
  9. Select “Battery saving (networks only)”

Switch to 2G Networks Temporarily:

NOTE: In case your phone runs low on battery and you don’t have quick access to a wall socket or battery bank, you can conserve battery life until the next recharge by temporarily switching to 2G networks.

  1. Go to “Settings”
  2. Access the “Networks” tab
  3. Scroll to “Connectivity” and tap “More”
  4. Tap “Mobile networks” > “Network mode”
  5. Enable “GSM only”

Disable Background Data:

  1. Go to “Settings”
  2. Access “Networks”
  3. Tap “Mobile data” > “Menu”
  4. Enable “Restrict background data” and tap “OK” to confirm

Change Settings to Reduce Sync:

NOTE: By changing your accounts’ / apps’ sync settings to reduce sync, you can improve battery life in the long run.

  1. Go to “Settings”
  2. Access the “General” tab
  3. Scroll to “Personal” and tap “Accounts & sync”
  4. Turn Off “Auto-sync data”
  5. Scroll to “Accounts” and select an account / app to change its sync settings

Minimize Third Party App Usage:

NOTE: Some third party apps perform regular background processes, and thus they can affect battery life when not in use. By disabling or removing unused third party apps, you can improve battery life in the long run.

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Access the “General” tab
  3. Scroll to “Phone Management”
  4. Go to “Apps” > “Downloaded”
  5. Tap and hold the desired app
  6. To disable the application, tap “Force Stop” / “Disable” to confirm
  7. To remove an app, tap “Uninstall”
