WARNING! When you factory reset your device, all data located on the phones internal memory will be deleted. This includes media files, apps, ringtones, downloaded content, contacts etc. Furthermore, all settings will be restored to factory values. Data stored on the SD and SIM cards will not be affected by the reset.

Factory Reset via Settings:
- Launch Settings
- Access the General tab if necessary
- Tap Backup & reset and enable or disable Back up my data and Automatic restore
- Tap Backup account and select or create a Google backup account
- Press Factory data reset
- Optionally, choose whether to Erase SD Card at the prompt
- When ready, tap Reset phone > Next
- Tap Delete all > OK to confirm
Factory Reset via Hardware Buttons:
NOTE: In case you are unable to reset the device from the Settings menu, alternatively you can reset the phone using hardware buttons. To do this:
- First, turn the phone Off if necessary
- Next, press and hold Power and Volume down simultaneously
- At the LG logo, quickly release and re-hold Power
- At the Factory data reset screen, release both buttons
- Press Volume down to highlight Yes and press Power to confirm
- When prompted to Erase all user data and restore default settings, use Volume down to highlight Yes
- Press Power to confirm
Check for OS Updates:
NOTE: Its recommended to check if new OS updates are available after a factory reset.
- Launch Settings
- Go to the General tab
- Tap About phone > Software info
- Verify if an update is available. If applicable, follow the on-screen prompts to download and apply the update. NOTE: The process will require at least one reboot
