Enable Battery Saving Mode:
- Launch Settings
- Access the General tab
- Scroll to Phone Management and tap Battery & power saving
- Enable Power Saving and modify the desired Power Saving features
- Select a battery percentage at which the mode enables automatically
Disable Connectivity Features:
NOTE: By disabling your phones connectivity features when unused, including Bluetooth, Hotspot, Wi-Fi, GPS etc. you can improve battery life in the long run.
- Launch Settings
- Access the Networks tab and tap Connectivity
- Tap Tethering > Mobile Hotspot and set the toggle OFF
- Return to Settings and tap the Bluetooth and Wi-Fi switches OFF
- Access the General tab and scroll to Personal
- Tap Location (GPS) > Mode
- Select Battery saving (networks only)
Switch to 2G Networks Temporarily:
NOTE: If your phone runs low on battery life and you dont have quick access to a battery bank or wall socket, you can conserve battery life until the next recharge by temporarily switching to 2G networks.
- Launch Settings
- Access the Networks tab
- Scroll to Connectivity
- Tap More > Mobile networks
- Tap network mode and enable GSM only
Disable Smart Settings Unused at Home:
- Open Settings
- If necessary, go to the General tab
- Scroll to Smart functions
- Tap Smart settings and set the option OFF
Adjust Visual Quality in Games:
- Launch Settings
- Go to the General tab
- Scroll to Phone Management and tap Battery & Power saving
- Turn Game optimizer OFF
Minimize Third Party App Usage:
NOTE: Certain third party applications perform regular background processes and can affect battery life even when not actively in use. By disabling or uninstalling unused third party apps, you can improve battery life in the long run.
- Launch Settings
- Go to the General tab
- Scroll to Phone Management and tap Apps
- Access the Downloaded section
- Tap and hold the desired application
- To turn the app off, tap Force Stop / Disable
- To remove the app from the device, tap Uninstall
Decrease Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:
- Open Settings
- Access the Display tab
- Scroll to Basic settings
- Tap Brightness and drag the brightness slider towards the left side of the screen
- Tap Screen timeout and select a lower screen timeout option
Change Sync Settings:
NOTE: By changing your accounts/apps sync options to reduce sync, you can improve battery life in the long run.
- Open Settings
- Go to the General tab
- Scroll to Personal and tap Accounts & sync
- Disable Auto-sync data
- Scroll to Accounts and select an app/account to change its sync settings
