Transfer Audio Files from a Windows PC:

  1. Connect the LG G6+ to your computer via USB
  2. Enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” at the prompt or from the “Notification” area
  3. Open the File Explorer on the computer and locate the desired audio files on the PC storage
  4. Copy and transfer the files on the phone storage, preferably in the “Ringtones” / “Notifications” directories
  5. Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB port

Change the General Ringtone:

  1. Launch “Settings” and, if necessary, switch to “List view”
  2. Scroll to “Device”
  3. Tap “Sound” > “Ringtone”
  4. Select the desired ringtone
  5. Tap “OK” to confirm

Change the Ringtone of a Specific Contact:

NOTE: Custom ringtones cannot be set for contacts stored on the SIM card or the phone’s internal memory.

  1. Open the “Essentials” folder and launch “Contacts”
  2. Tap the contact whose ringtone you want to change
  3. Tap “Edit” > “More” > “Ringtone”
  4. Select the desired ringtone
  5. Tap “OK” to confirm

Change Incoming Email Alerts:

  1. Launch “Email”
  2. Tap “Menu”
  3. Go to “Settings” and scroll to “Accounts & Sync”
  4. Select the desired email account
  5. Under “Notifications”, enable “New Emails” and tap “Notification sound”
  6. Select the desired notification ringtone
  7. Optionally, you can enable or disable “Vibrate”

Change Emergency Alert Settings:

  1. Launch “Messaging”
  2. Tap “Menu”
  3. Go to “Settings”
  4. Under “Advanced settings”, tap “More” > “Emergency alerts”
  5. Under “Receive alerts”, select to disable “Imminent severe alerts”, “Imminent extreme alerts” and/or “AMBER alerts”
  6. Under “Sound and vibration”, enable or disable “Alert vibration” and “Alert sound”
