Transfer Audio Files from a Windows PC:
- Connect the LG G6+ to your computer via USB
- Enable Media device / File Transfer at the prompt or from the Notification area
- Open the File Explorer on the computer and locate the desired audio files on the PC storage
- Copy and transfer the files on the phone storage, preferably in the Ringtones / Notifications directories
- Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB port
Change the General Ringtone:
- Launch Settings and, if necessary, switch to List view
- Scroll to Device
- Tap Sound > Ringtone
- Select the desired ringtone
- Tap OK to confirm
Change the Ringtone of a Specific Contact:
NOTE: Custom ringtones cannot be set for contacts stored on the SIM card or the phones internal memory.
- Open the Essentials folder and launch Contacts
- Tap the contact whose ringtone you want to change
- Tap Edit > More > Ringtone
- Select the desired ringtone
- Tap OK to confirm
Change Incoming Email Alerts:
- Launch Email
- Tap Menu
- Go to Settings and scroll to Accounts & Sync
- Select the desired email account
- Under Notifications, enable New Emails and tap Notification sound
- Select the desired notification ringtone
- Optionally, you can enable or disable Vibrate
Change Emergency Alert Settings:
- Launch Messaging
- Tap Menu
- Go to Settings
- Under Advanced settings, tap More > Emergency alerts
- Under Receive alerts, select to disable Imminent severe alerts, Imminent extreme alerts and/or AMBER alerts
- Under Sound and vibration, enable or disable Alert vibration and Alert sound
