    WARNING! When you factory reset your device, all your personal data stored on the phone’s internal memory will be deleted. This includes media files, applications, downloaded content, contacts etc. Furthermore all settings will be restored to factory values, however, data located on the SIM and SD cards will not be affected.

    NOTE: Before you reset the phone you can check this guide on how to back up data, and this thread for instructions on restoring data.

    Factory Reset via Settings:

    1. Launch “Settings”
    2. Switch to “Tab view” if necessary and access “General”
    3. Under “Phone management”, tap “Backup & reset”
    4. Tick or clear the check boxes associated with “Automatic restore” and “Back up my data”
    5. Tap “Backup account” and log in with, or create a backup account
    6. Tap “Factory data reset”
    7. When prompted, choose whether you want to “Erase SD Card” too
    8. Tap “Reset phone” to proceed
    9. If your device is lock screen-protected, enter your PIN/password/pattern and tap “OK”
    10. Tap “Delete all” > “Reset” to confirm

    Factory Reset via Recovery:

    NOTE: If your device freezes, crashes, or otherwise doesn’t allow you to reset it via settings, you can try resetting the phone from the Android recovery menu, which can be accessed by performing the following:

    1. Make sure the phone is powered off
    2. Press and hold “Power” and “Volume down” at the same time
    3. At the LG logo, quickly release and re-hold “Power”
    4. At the “Factory data reset” screen, release all keys
    5. In the menu, press “Volume down” to highlight “Yes” and press “Power” to confirm
    6. At the “Erase all user data and restore default settings” prompt, highlight “Yes” and press “Power” again

    Hard Reset LG Q6
    First method:
    - Begin by switching off the LG Q6 by holding down the Power key for a short while.
    - Afterwards press and hold the Volume Down + Power button together for a couple of seconds.
    -When the LG logo is pops release the Power key, keep holding the Volume Down and after 2 seconds hold down one more time the Power button.
    -As soon as the Factory Mode appears let go of both keys.
    -In order to confirm process by choose appropriate options using Volume rockers to navigate and the Power button to confirm.
    -You have to wait until the LG Welcome Panel pops up.
    -Excellent! The factory reset is done.

    Second method:
    -In the first step power off the LG Q6.
    -Form the Home Screen go to Settings.
    -Then select General and then Backup & Reset.
    -After that, tap Factory Data Reset and Reset Phone.
    -Finally, choose Delete All if you are sure you want to clear all your data.
    -Now the smartphone is erasing all personal data.
    -Congratulations! Your phone is ready to use. The factory reset is done.
