Transfer Audio Files from a Windows PC:

  1. Connect the LG X Charge to the computer via USB
  2. Enable “Media device” / “File Transfer” at the prompt or from the Notification area
  3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
  4. Locate the audio files on the computer
  5. Copy and paste the desired files on the phone storage, preferably in the “Ringtones” or “Notifications” folder(s)
  6. Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB port

Change the General Ringtone:

  1. Launch “Settings”
  2. Scroll to and tap “Sound & Notification”
  3. Tap “Ringtone” and select the desired ringtone
  4. Press “OK” to confirm

Change a Specific Contact’s Ringtone:

NOTE: Custom ringtones cannot be set for contacts located on the SIM card or the phone’s internal memory.

  1. Launch “Contacts”
  2. Tap the contact whose ringtone you want to modify
  3. Tap “Edit” > “Ringtone”
  4. Select the desired ringtone
  5. Press “OK”

Change Incoming Email Notification Settings:

  1. Launch “Email”
  2. Tap “Menu”
  3. Go to “Settings”
  4. Tap an email account
  5. Scroll to “Notification settings” and tick or clear the “Notification” check box
  6. Tap “Notification sound”
  7. Select the desired notification alert sound and tap “OK”

Change Emergency Alert Settings:

  1. Launch Messaging
  2. Tap “Menu”
  3. Go to “Settings”
  4. Scroll to “General” and tap “More”
  5. Access “Emergency alerts”
  6. Tick or clear the check boxes associated with “Imminent extreme alerts”, “Imminent severe alerts” or “AMBER alerts”

NOTE: Presidential alerts are enabled by default and cannot be turned off.
