Sync iPhone Contacts Using iTunes:

NOTE: You can use iTunes on a computer with an active Internet connection to sync your iPhone contacts with a Google account. Then you can sync the account data, including contacts, with the Android phone.

  1. Open iTunes on the computer
  2. Connect the iPhone to the computer via USB
  3. Click the iPhone in iTunes
  4. Go to “Info” and enable “Sync Contacts With
  5. Select “Google Contacts” from the drop-down menu
  6. Log in with your Google account or click “Configure” and select an existing account
  7. Click “Apply” to start the sync
  8. After the sync is complete, switch to the Android device and log in with the same account used in iTunes
  9. Set the account to sync contacts with the LG device

Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud:

NOTE: If your iPhone contacts are backed up on your iCloud account, you can access the account on a computer with an Internet connection and export the contacts in a vCard file for Android use.

  1. Open the Internet browser on the computer
  2. Head down to https://www.icloud.com/
  3. Log in with your iCloud account and go to “Contacts
  4. Select the desired contacts and click “Settings” > “Export vCard
  5. Once the vCard is downloaded, perform one of the following:
    • Open the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to “Google Contacts” or:
    • Connect the LG phone to the computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and import its contents to your phonebook using “Contacts

Using My Contacts Backup:

NOTE: While the two methods above require a computer connected to the Internet, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts using third party applications. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.

  1. Go to the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
  2. Launch the app and tap “Backup
  3. Once the backup is done, tap “Email
  4. Ensure the vCard is attached and send the email to your address
  5. Switch to the Android phone, open the email and download the vCard attachment
  6. Use “Contacts” to import the vCard to your phonebook


Using Send Anywhere:

NOTE: Another third party app you can use is Send Anywhere, available on Android and iOS. The app uses a peer-to-peer connection to share contacts and other file types, cross-platform, without computer access.

  1. Visit the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
  2. Go to the Play Store and install the same app on the LG device
  3. Launch the app on both handsets
  4. On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts
  5. Select the desired contacts
  6. Tap “Send” and select the desired transfer method on one of the devices
  7. Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
