Sync iPhone Contacts via iTunes:

NOTE: You can use iTunes on a computer with Internet access to sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. Then you can sync the account data, and contacts, with the Android phone.

  1. Open iTunes on the computer
  2. Connect the iPhone to the PC via USB
  3. Click the iPhone in iTunes and access “Info”
  4. Enable “Sync Contacts With”
  5. Select “Google Contacts” from the drop-down menu
  6. Log in with your Google account or click “Configure” and select an existing account
  7. Click “Apply” to begin the sync
  8. Once done, switch to the Android phone and sign in with the same account used in iTunes
  9. Allow the account to sync contacts with the Android device

Share iPhone Contacts From an iCloud Backup:

NOTE: If your iPhone contacts are backed up on your iCloud account, you can sign in with the account on a computer with Internet access and export the contacts in a vCard file for use on the Android phone.

  1. Open the Internet browser on the computer
  2. Head down to https://www.icloud.com/
  3. Log in with your iCloud account
  4. Go to “Contacts” and select the desired contacts
  5. Click “Settings” > “Export vCard”
  6. Once the vCard is downloaded, perform one of the following:
    • Open the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to “Google Contacts” or:
    • Connect the LG phone to the computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and import it to your phonebook via “Contacts”

Using My Contacts Backup:

NOTE: While the two methods above require a computer with Internet access, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts using third-party apps. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.

  1. Visit the App Store and install “My Contacts Backup” on the iPhone
  2. Launch the app
  3. Tap “Backup”
  4. Once done, tap “Email”
  5. Compose an email ensuring the vCard is attached
  6. Send the email and attachment to your own address
  7. Switch to the LG phone, open the email and download the vCard attachment
  8. Use “Contacts” to import the vCard to your phonebook

Using Send Anywhere:

NOTE: Another third-party app you can use is Send Anywhere, available on iOS and Android. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to share contacts and other file types, cross-platform, without requiring a PC.

  1. Visit the App Store and install “Send Anywhere” on the iPhone
  2. Visit the Play Store and install the app on the LG phone
  3. Launch the app on both devices
  4. On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts”
  5. Select the desired contacts and tap “Send”
  6. Finally, select the desired transfer method on one of the phones and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
