Transfer Audio Files from a PC:

  1. Connect the Android phone to the computer via USB
  2. Enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” on the phone, when prompted or from the Notification area
  3. Launch the File Explorer on the PC
  4. Locate the audio files on the PC
  5. Copy and transfer the files to the phone storage, preferably in the “Notifications” / “Ringtones” folders
  6. Once done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB port

Change the General Ringtone:

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Go to “Device”
  3. Tap “Sound” > “ringtone”
  4. Select the desired ringtone
  5. Press “OK”

Change a Specific Contact’s Ringtone:

NOTE: Custom ringtones cannot be set for contacts stored on the phone’s internal memory or SIM card.

  1. Open “Contacts”
  2. Select the desired contact
  3. Tap “Edit” > “More” > “Ringtone”
  4. Select the desired ringtone
  5. Tap “OK”

Change Incoming Email Alert Settings:

  1. Launch “Email”
  2. Tap “Menu” > “Settings”
  3. Go to “Account & Sync”
  4. Select the desired email account
  5. Enable “New Emails”
  6. Go to “Notification sound” and select the desired notification ringtone
  7. Optionally, you can turn “Vibrate” ON or OFF

Change Emergency Alert Settings:

  1. Launch “Messaging”
  2. Tap “Menu” > “Settings”
  3. Go to “Advanced settings”
  4. Tap “More” > “Emergency alerts”
  5. Under “Receive alerts”, select to “Imminent severe alerts”, “Imminent extreme alerts” and “AMBER alerts”
  6. Under “Sound and vibrate” select to turn “Alert vibration” and “Alert sound” ON or OFF
