Transfer Audio Files from a PC:
- Connect the Android device to the computer via USB
- On the phone, enable Media device / File Transfer at the prompt or from the Notification area
- Open the File Explorer on the computer
- Locate the audio files on the PC
- Copy and transfer the files to the phone storage, preferably in the Ringtones and Notifications directories
- Once done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB port
Change the General Ringtone:
- Launch Settings
- Access Device
- Tap Sound > Ringtone
- Select the desired ringtone and tap OK
Change a Specific Contacts Ringtone:
NOTE: Custom ringtones cannot be set for contacts located on the SIM card or the devices internal memory.
- Open Contacts
- Select the desired contact
- Tap Edit > More > Ringtone
- Select the desired ringtone and tap OK
Change Incoming Email Alert Sounds:
- Launch Email
- Tap Menu > Settings
- Go to Account & Sync
- Select the desired email account and enable New Emails
- Access Notification sound and select the desired ringtone
- Optionally, enable or disable Vibrate
Change Emergency Alert Settings:
- Open Messages
- Tap Menu > Settings
- Go to Advanced settings
- Tap More > Emergency alerts
- Under Receive alerts enable or disable Imminent severe alerts Imminent extreme alerts and AMBER alerts
- Under Sound and vibrate enable or disable Alert sound and Alert vibration
