Transfer Audio Files from a PC:
- Connect the Android device to the computer via USB
- On the phone, enable File Transfer / Media device when prompted or from the Notification area
- Open the File Explorer on the computer
- Locate the audio files on the PC
- Copy and paste the files to the phone storage, preferably in the Notifications and Ringtones folder(s)
- Once done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB port
Change the General Ringtone:
- Open Settings
- Go to Device
- Tap Sound > Ringtone and select the desired ringtone
- Tap OK
Change a Specific Contacts Ringtone:
NOTE: You cannot set custom ringtones for contacts located on the SIM card or the devices internal memory.
- Open Contacts
- Select the desired contact
- Tap Edit > More
- Tap Ringtone
- Select the desired ringtone
- Tap OK
Change Incoming Email Alert Sounds:
- Open Email
- Tap Menu > Settings
- Access Account & Sync
- Select an email account and enable New Emails
- Go to Notification sound
- Select the desired ringtone
- Optionally you can turn Vibrate ON or OFF
Change Emergency Alert Settings:
- Open Messages
- Tap Menu > Settings
- Access Advanced settings
- Tap More > Emergency alerts
- Under Receive alerts enable or disable Imminent extreme alerts Imminent severe alerts and AMBER alerts
- Under Sound and vibrate you can enable or disable Alert vibration and Alert sound
