Transfer Audio Files from a PC:

  1. Connect the Android device to the computer via USB
  2. On the phone, enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” when prompted or from the Notification area
  3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
  4. Locate the audio files on the PC
  5. Copy and paste the files to the phone storage, preferably in the “Notifications” and “Ringtones” folder(s)
  6. Once done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB port

Change the General Ringtone:

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Go to “Device”
  3. Tap “Sound’ > “Ringtone” and select the desired ringtone
  4. Tap “OK”

Change a Specific Contact’s Ringtone:

NOTE: You cannot set custom ringtones for contacts located on the SIM card or the device’s internal memory.

  1. Open “Contacts”
  2. Select the desired contact
  3. Tap “Edit” > “More”
  4. Tap “Ringtone”
  5. Select the desired ringtone
  6. Tap “OK”

Change Incoming Email Alert Sounds:

  1. Open “Email”
  2. Tap “Menu” > “Settings”
  3. Access “Account & Sync”
  4. Select an email account and enable “New Emails”
  5. Go to “Notification sound”
  6. Select the desired ringtone
  7. Optionally you can turn “Vibrate” ON or OFF

Change Emergency Alert Settings:

  1. Open “Messages”
  2. Tap “Menu” > “Settings”
  3. Access “Advanced settings”
  4. Tap “More” > “Emergency alerts”
  5. Under “Receive alerts” enable or disable” Imminent extreme alerts” “Imminent severe alerts” and “AMBER alerts”
  6. Under “Sound and vibrate” you can enable or disable “Alert vibration” and “Alert sound”
