Transfer Audio Files from a PC:
- Connect the Android phone to the computer via USB
- On the phone, enable File Transfer / Media device when prompted or from the Notification area
- Open the File Explorer on the computer
- Locate the audio files on the PC
- Copy and paste the desired files to the phone storage, preferably in the Notifications / Ringtones folder(s)
- Once the process completes, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB port
Change the General Ringtone:
- Open Settings
- Access Device
- Tap Sound > Ringtone
- Select the desired ringtone and tap OK
Change a Contacts Ringtone:
NOTE: Custom ringtones cannot be set for contacts located on the SIM card or the devices internal memory.
- Open Contacts
- Select the desired contact
- Tap Edit > More > Ringtone
- Select the desired ringtone
- Tap OK
Change Incoming Email Alert Sounds:
- Open Email
- Tap Menu
- Go to Settings
- Access Account & Sync
- Select an email account
- Enable New Emails
- Go to Notification sound and select a notification ringtone
- Optionally, enable or disable Vibrate
Change Emergency Alert Settings:
- Open Messages
- Tap menu > Settings
- Go to Advanced settings
- Tap More > Emergency alerts
- Enable or disable Imminent extreme alerts Imminent severe alerts and AMBER alerts
- Under Sound and vibrate enable or disable Alert vibration and Alert sound
