I'm pretty sure you can, but you'd need access to the phone. It'd send the texts to your email account I think.

That is the problem, I don't have access to his phone. He locks it in the car or keeps it in his pocket.

Even if there is no icon and it doesn't show up in running applications it is easy to install landroid or net tools and run the current status which shows not only the phones info and who else is signed into your wifi but also just other IP addresses That are only listening in on your phone line. Then enter That into the whois section or iplookup which are also in the same app and it tells whether its the service providers IP, phones IP, wifi IP or rerouting service for data and text. I looked up both That were just listening in to my phone. One was the local cell tower. The other was mobileslueth tracking service the previous owner had installed as it wasnt cancelled when they sold me the phone on eBay. So I wiped the phone or reset it to factory settings. Set my email back up so the phone would work and downloaded Norton for mobile then did a backup sync threw gmail from a year old backup since it was from a time I had a different phone. Now when I run landroid it only shows my service providers towers listening in. And you can look up call and text log online for free threw your carrier and Just call the numbers you don't know that seem to have a lit of activity. Just tell them You are trying to re enter lost contacts from your cell bill and need to put a name to the number
